October 11, 2025 – Web Desk Washington: US President Donald Trump has declared the imposition of additional import taxes on China, with a 100% tariff on imports from the country set to take effect in November.

Speaking to the media at the White House, President Trump addressed several international matters. He clarified that his meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping has not been canceled, expressing confidence that the Gaza ceasefire will hold, with the return of hostages scheduled to begin on Monday. He also announced plans to address the Israeli parliament during his upcoming visit to Israel.

Trump further stated that during his Middle East tour, he will also visit Egypt. He claimed to have averted eight wars, including the conflict between Pakistan and India, where seven aircraft were reportedly shot down. Noting that both nations are nuclear powers, he mentioned warning Pakistan and India that failure to cease hostilities would result in the imposition of tariffs.

The president added that he respects the decision on the Nobel Peace Prize, while expressing regret over not receiving it.
