The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is considering holding the Pakistan Super League (PSL) next year in April and May, following Ramadan, with two additional teams set to join the tournament.
Citing sources, a private channel reported that several issues between PSL franchises and the PCB remain unresolved, and no formal meeting has yet taken place to discuss the next edition of the PSL.
Due to the T20 World Cup in early next year, it is not feasible to schedule the PSL in February or March. Following a three-match T20 series between Pakistan and Australia as part of preparations for the T20 World Cup, Pakistan will play a two-Test series against Bangladesh.
After the T20 World Cup and PSL, a three-match ODI series is scheduled between Pakistan and Australia, followed by Pakistan’s tour of Bangladesh for three ODIs and three T20Is.
Additionally, a three-match ODI and three-match T20I series is also planned between Pakistan and Zimbabwe. Therefore, the PCB wants to organize the PSL in April and May next year with two additional teams.
