Asad Ali Memon, a mountaineer from Pakistan, has successfully completed the Seven Summits Challenge by scaling the highest peaks of all seven continents.
He achieved this feat by summiting Puncak Jaya, Indonesia’s highest peak and Oceania’s tallest mountain, marking the final leg of his journey.
Memon began his expedition in 2019 by conquering Mount Elbrus in Europe. In 2020, he scaled Aconcagua in South America.
He continued with Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa in 2021, followed by Mount Denali in North America in 2022. In 2023, the mountaineer summited Mount Everest, Asia’s and the world’s highest peak, becoming the first climber from Sindh province to do so.
Earlier this year, in January 2025, he conquered Mount Vinson in Antarctica, the world’s coldest peak at 4,892 meters.
Born in 1998 in Larkana, Sindh—a region known for its flat terrain and extreme heat—Memon’s journey defies all odds. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the Institute of Business Management (IoBM) in Karachi and started his mountaineering career in 2016. Notably, in 2021, he became the first Pakistani to summit Kilimanjaro in under 20 hours.
With this achievement, Memon joins an elite group as only the third Pakistani—after siblings Samina Baig and Mirza Ali Baig—to complete the Seven Summits Challenge. His success not only elevates Pakistan’s presence in global adventure sports but also inspires the next generation of climbers.
