Pakistan has urged Afghanistan to take decisive action against terrorist groups operating from its soil.

According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, a high-level delegation led by Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has arrived in Doha to hold talks with representatives of the Afghan Taliban.

The discussions will focus on the immediate cessation of cross-border terrorism and strengthening bilateral security cooperation.

The spokesperson praised Qatar’s mediation efforts, stating that these talks are a significant step toward peace and stability in the region.

The Foreign Office emphasized that Pakistan seeks to avoid any escalation and is committed to peaceful solutions for lasting peace and stability in the region.

The spokesperson further urged the Afghan Taliban to honor their international commitments and address Pakistan’s security concerns effectively.
