The third round of Pakistan-Afghanistan ceasefire talks in Istanbul remains deadlocked.

Federal Minister Attaullah Tarar said Pakistan insists Afghanistan must stop cross-border terrorism, noting the Taliban’s failure to fulfill 2021 Doha Agreement obligations.

Pakistan thanked Türkiye and Qatar for mediation while reaffirming goodwill toward the Afghan people. High-level officials from both sides attended the talks, which follow prior rounds in Doha and Istanbul where ceasefire extension was agreed.
