The interbank market recorded a slight decline in the value of the US dollar at the close of the business week.

According to the State Bank of Pakistan, the US dollar fell by 3 paisas on Friday, closing at Rs. 281.17, compared to Rs. 281.20 the previous day.

Business circles noted that the stability in the Pakistani rupee is driven by improved foreign exchange reserves and reduced import pressure.

Economic experts attribute the rupee’s strength to the continuity in the central bank’s monetary policy and a decline in external payment pressures.

In the open market, the dollar also saw a minor decrease, trading at Rs. 282.50 after dropping by a few paisas.

Financial analysts suggest that if the current trend persists, the rupee is likely to gain further stability in the coming days.
