Islamabad: Asian Football Confederation (AFC) President and FIFA Senior Vice President Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa from Bahrain will visit Pakistan officially from November 4 to 7, 2025.

On Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s instructions, Sheikh Salman has been accorded State Guest status. He will be accompanied by senior AFC officials and other international sports representatives.

During the visit, Sheikh Salman is expected to meet Senator Rana Sanaullah Khan, the PM’s Advisor on Inter-Provincial Coordination and Political Affairs, along with other senior civilian and military leaders. Discussions will focus on football infrastructure development, expanding youth sports opportunities, and potential collaborations for sports projects in Pakistan.

Senator Rana Sanaullah welcomed Sheikh Salman, saying: “We extend a warm welcome to the AFC President, FIFA Senior Vice President, and esteemed member of Bahrain’s royal family. This historic visit will lay the foundation for a new era in Pakistan’s football.”
