Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has announced that matches of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) will be staged in Azad Jammu and Kashmir for the first time, with Muzaffarabad Cricket Stadium selected as the venue.
Speaking at the PSL road show held at the iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground in London, Naqvi revealed that the PCB has finalised plans to host PSL fixtures in Muzaffarabad and will upgrade the stadium to international standards.
“We are preparing Muzaffarabad Cricket Stadium in the best possible manner. High-quality five-star hotels meeting international players’ requirements are already available in the city,” the PCB chief stated, adding that besides PSL games, other international matches will also be organised in Azad Kashmir.
The announcement marks a significant step toward expanding the league’s footprint and bringing top-tier cricket to the region, widely referred to as “Pakistan’s jugular vein,” while offering fans in Azad Kashmir the chance to watch global stars live in action.
Detailed scheduling and the exact number of PSL-11 matches to be played in Muzaffarabad will be confirmed closer to the tournament, expected in April-May 2026.
