Punjab Minister for Industries and Commerce Chaudhry Shafay Hussain has announced the establishment of a new Industrial Estate near Rawalpindi Ring Road.

Speaking during a meeting with industrialists at the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the minister said industrialisation is being fast-tracked in line with Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s vision.

He revealed that Garments City has already been set up in Quaid-e-Azam Business Park Sheikhupura to promote the textile sector, where construction of 10 new factories has begun.

Chaudhry Shafay added that industrial units are being established for the first time in Bahawalpur Industrial Estate and urged businessmen to avail investment incentives in Special Economic Zones.

He also assured that Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz will soon meet representatives of all chambers of commerce and industry across Punjab.

Rawalpindi Chamber President Usman Shaukat and Group Leader Sohail Altaf briefed the provincial minister about the issues faced by the business community.
