Karachi: According to the State Bank of Pakistan, the government has reduced its debt by an additional Rs 852 billion in September.

The State Bank of Pakistan reported that the government’s total debt at the end of September 2025 stood at Rs 76,605 billion.

The report indicates that the domestic debt decreased by Rs 649 billion during September, while the external debt fell by Rs 203 billion. Overall, the government’s debt has declined by Rs 1,283 billion in the first quarter of the current fiscal year.
