Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi has assigned portfolios to the 13-member provincial cabinet, including ministers, advisers, and special assistants.
A notification from the Administration Department details the allocations:
- Shafie Ullah Jan: Special Assistant for Information, Broadcasting, and Public Relations
- Arshad Ayub Khan: Minister for Elementary and Secondary Education
- Amjad Ali: Minister for Housing
- Meena Khan Afridi: Provincial Minister for Local Government, Elections, and Rural Development
- Fazal Shakoor: Provincial Minister for Public Health Engineering
- Riaz Khan: Minister for Irrigation
- Aftab Alam Afridi: Provincial Minister for Law, Parliamentary Affairs, and Human Rights
- Syed Fakhar Jehan: Minister for Excise, Taxation, and Narcotics Control
- Khalid Rehman: Minister for Health
- Aqib Ullah: Minister for Relief, Rehabilitation, and Settlement
- Faisal Khan Tarakai: Minister for Labour
- Taj Mohammad Tarand: Adviser for Sports and Youth Affairs
- Muzammil Aslam: Adviser for Finance
The new cabinet includes some familiar faces alongside two ministers previously removed by former CM Ali Amin Gandapur in his final days. This reshuffle aims to streamline governance in key sectors like education, health, and infrastructure.
