Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has approved a new law called the Punjab Protection of Ownership of Immovable Property Ordinance 2025. It will stop land mafia from grabbing anyone’s property.

She said: “The land belongs to its owner. We have closed the chapter of land grabbing in Punjab forever.”

Main Points of the Law:

  • Committees will be set up in every district within 30 days to solve land disputes.
  • Each case must be decided in 90 days.
  • Appeals will go to special courts led by retired High Court judges, also decided in 90 days.
  • Land records will be digital for transparency.
  • Recovery operations will be live-streamed on social media.

The CM said a small piece of land is everything for a common man. Now the government will stand with the weak and return their land quickly.
