Jamaica: The strongest storm in over 100 years, Hurricane Melissa, struck Jamaica on Tuesday and caused massive damage.
The hurricane broke everything in its path. Towns, villages, and cities are now covered in piles of debris. Many buildings are flooded with rainwater. Power poles fell down, leaving large areas without electricity or internet.
Officials say it is too early to know the exact death toll, but they believe not many people died. Rescue teams and locals are working together to clean up the mess.
After hitting Jamaica, the storm weakened a little but is still very strong. It is now moving to Cuba, where it is causing more damage.
Communication is very limited in Jamaica, so full details of the loss are not yet known.
