Pakistan has strongly condemned Israel’s latest airstrikes on Gaza, describing them as a blatant violation of international law and the recently inked ceasefire agreement.
In a statement, Foreign Office spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said the Israeli actions constitute a clear breach of global norms and threaten ongoing international efforts for lasting peace in the region.
“These aggressive measures by the Israeli occupation forces are undermining the international community’s push for durable stability,” the statement noted, adding that dozens of Palestinians have been killed in the fresh assaults.
Islamabad called on the world to play an effective role in halting the violations immediately and ensuring the protection of Palestinian civilians.
Pakistan reaffirmed its principled stance, advocating for the establishment of an independent, sovereign Palestinian state along the pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
The remarks come amid repeated Israeli breaches of the fragile truce, brokered on October 10 through regional mediation, which has already seen over 67,000 Palestinian deaths since the conflict’s escalation in 2023.
