Washington: In a significant statement following recent clashes between Pakistan and Afghanistan, US President Donald Trump has indicated his willingness to help bring an end to the conflict.

Trump stated that the United States desires peace and stability in the region and that he is prepared to personally mediate if both countries agree.

He remarked, “Relations between Pakistan and Afghanistan have been complex for decades, but now is the time for both nations to resolve their issues through dialogue.”

According to him, “Ending this war would be very easy for me, but I want both countries to choose the path of peace themselves so that sustainable stability can be established.”

Following the US President’s statement, speculation has begun in diplomatic circles about whether Washington is preparing to once again play an active role in the region.

Analysts suggest that if the US truly follows through on its mediation offer, it could mark a pivotal turning point in Pak-Afghan relations
